People Business Partner, Employee Relations & Performance
Partners with managers on employee relations, investigations, performance management, terminations, and promotion calibration while building scalable People processes. Requires 5–8 years of HR experience, strong judgment, manager coaching skills, and expertise handling sensitive cases.

Responsibilities
- Partner with frontline managers to ensure consistent, fair, and rigorous performance management across teams.
- Coach managers on setting clear expectations, delivering effective feedback, and taking action on performance outcomes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for manager questions about performance-related cases and processes.
- Build resources such as coaching-plan templates, toolkits, and training to strengthen manager effectiveness.
- Run and document employee investigations end-to-end, escalating themes and risks as needed.
- Provide guidance and operational support for employee terminations.
- Own operational logistics for promotion and performance check-in calibrations.
- Partner with People Partners and Workplace Experience on return-to-office audits.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in HR, ideally in high-growth organizations.
- Experience running employee investigations end-to-end, including documentation and recommendations.
- Hands-on experience supporting or executing employee terminations.
- Strong understanding of performance management practices, including feedback, coaching, calibration, and documentation.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with managers and influence outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience supporting customer-facing or fast-scaling teams.
- Familiarity with performance management systems such as Lattice or HRIS tools such as Workday.
- Experience with manager enablement or training programs.
- Interest in building scalable People processes and improving operational efficiency.
Compensation
- Expected salary range: $144,640–$180,800 base salary.
- Equity and other compensation may be provided depending on the position offered.
