Solar Project Manager
Drive end-to-end delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS projects from NTP to COD. Own budgets, integrated schedules (P6), risks, contracts, and multi-site construction teams while managing critical interconnection and long-lead equipment milestones.

Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS projects from development handoff through commercial operation, owning budget, schedule, scope, and risk across civil, electrical, substation, gen-tie, and interconnection workstreams.
- Build and own integrated project schedules (Primavera P6, MS Project) across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning; maintain the master schedule as the single source of truth from site mobilization through energization.
- Own project budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and change-order governance; report earned-value KPIs weekly and flag cost and schedule deviations with recovery options.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle: RFP, bid analysis, EPC and subcontractor award, PCO tracking, lender and interconnection reporting requirements, and close-out.
- Drive mitigation on critical-path and long-lead risks including transformers, inverters, switchgear, BESS enclosures, and interconnection queue milestones; act as the single point of accountability for all internal and external project stakeholders.
- Lead construction managers, field superintendents, and project engineers across concurrent solar sites; develop staffing plans and run the weekly cadence of standups, reviews, and issue escalations.
Requirements
- Led project management on utility-scale solar or solar-plus-storage projects from NTP through COD, delivered on budget; can describe schedule pressure points and resolutions.
- Strong understanding of civil, structural, electrical, BESS, substation, and gen-tie scopes to identify gaps at bid time and enforce contracts during execution.
- Experience owning project-level budgets with earned-value tracking, owner-controlled contingency management, and change order governance.
- Managed interconnection milestones as critical path items; navigated CAISO, MISO, ERCOT, or PJM queue processes.
- Precise communication tailored to lenders, landowners, and field superintendents.
- Built and scaled field-based project teams across multiple concurrent sites; prior team members have advanced to running projects independently.

- PMI-PMP or equivalent certification.
- Experience with BESS and substation construction.
