Senior Software Engineer
The Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain database connectivity and data-capture capabilities for enterprise data pipelines. The role requires strong C and C++ experience, relational database and SQL expertise, and collaboration across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Write and test code for database connectivity and data-capture capabilities.
- Create technical specifications.
- Review and approve technical design documents and pull requests.
- Mentor team members and assist with technical challenges.
- Own and improve the product platform, including code quality, testing, maintenance, and issue identification.
- Collaborate with a core engineering team and broader stakeholders.
- Contribute across requirements, design, prototyping, implementation, review, release, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Experience with both C and C++.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and DBMS call-level interfaces such as ODBC or Oracle OCI.
- Ability to design and code effective, intuitive, operable, and maintainable systems.
- Understanding of complex structures, object orientation, exceptions, and memory management.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and work in changing environments.
Nice-to-haves
- Data replication experience.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools, cloud infrastructure, software-defined infrastructure, API technologies, or analytics.
- AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes, and Docker experience.
- Knowledge of IBM DB2 (LUW, iSeries, or z/OS).
- Knowledge of DBMS internals, including transaction logging systems.
