Responsibilities
- Lead the overall technical strategy for the Cash App Banking server engineering team.
- Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and business leads to develop, communicate, and execute technical strategies.
- Influence leaders across the organization to drive consistent, sound, and efficient technical decisions.
- Contribute directly to technical designs and code while driving cross-cutting architectural decisions and infrastructure improvements.
- Improve system robustness and scalability.
- Maintain high engineering standards.
- Coach and mentor engineers, helping them expand their technical breadth, depth, and scope of influence.
- Apply an AI-first mindset and raise the bar for AI applications across the team.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years leading large-scale features, including planning, managing, and executing delivery projects while maintaining a high quality bar.
- Experience identifying, aligning, and implementing globally optimal solutions in complex systems.
- Ability to design and build creative solutions to complex problems.
- Strong track record of helping engineers grow.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
