Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of high-performing engineers in building and scaling the Cloudforce One Threat Events platform, external Threat Intel APIs, and backend systems integrating Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) into products like WAF and Gateway for automated mitigation.
• Provide architectural direction and ensure operational excellence, meeting latency and reliability requirements for Enterprise security operations.
• Drive professional development of direct reports through mentorship and coaching.
• Collaborate with product managers and security researchers to transform complex threat data into intuitive, automated customer experiences.
• Manage technical debt, plan and execute to deliver predictable, world-class products.
• Participate in on-call rotation outside standard working hours as needed.
• Lead hiring efforts to expand engineering capabilities for next-generation agentic threat intelligence tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Software Development experience with a focus on Go, JavaScript, or distributed systems.
• Over 8 years leading high-performing engineering teams, responsible for architectural direction and operational excellence of large-scale distributed security platforms (e.g., Threat Intel APIs, automated mitigation systems).
• Proven ability to manage technical debt, drive professional development, and deliver predictable products in a high-growth environment.
• Understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain and experience automating ingestion and distribution of IOCs (IPs, domains, hashes, JA3/4 fingerprints).
• Experience with edge computing (e.g., Workers), SQL-at-the-edge (D1/SQLite), and systems scaling to trillions of signals.
• Strong planning, execution, mentorship, and coaching skills in a specialized security engineering domain.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic AI workflows.
• Prior experience building high-performance APIs or platforms for threat intelligence, security operations, or large-scale data analytics.
