Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance governance frameworks supporting BSA/AML and OFAC programs, with clear ownership, accountability, and oversight.
- Drive governance routines, executive and committee reporting, and escalation processes.
- Track, analyze, and report program risks, issues, remediation plans, and control effectiveness.
- Support AML and sanctions risk assessments; document controls and control owners; strengthen the control framework.
- Draft, update, and maintain BSA/AML and OFAC policies, standards, and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory developments and drive resulting policy and control updates.
- Prepare materials for regulatory exams, bank partner reviews, and audits; maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Coordinate audit and exam responses and drive remediation efforts.
- Manage issues from intake and root-cause analysis through corrective action, validation, and sustainability evidence.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Financial Crimes Operations, Product, and Engineering on scalable governance improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of BSA/AML and OFAC compliance experience, including governance, advisory, or second-line work at a fintech, bank, or directly regulated financial institution.
- Deep knowledge of FinCEN, OCC, and FFIEC requirements and examination expectations, with experience in consumer banking, payments, or lending.
- Exceptional written communication and ability to translate regulatory requirements into policies, procedures, and executive narratives.
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, and bank partner reviews, including request-list management, evidence collection, and interview preparation.
- Hands-on issues management experience, including corrective action plans, validation criteria, and remediation tracking.
- Experience with enterprise-wide BSA/AML and sanctions risk assessments, inherent risk scoring, control effectiveness ratings, and residual risk methodology.
- Working knowledge of the three lines of defense model and independent challenge.
- Experience preparing executive- or Board-level reporting and running governance and committee routines.
- Record of driving automation or process improvement in compliance or risk.
- Strong program management and cross-functional influencing skills.
- Ability to operate with urgency amid ambiguity and changing priorities.

- Sponsor-bank or BaaS operating model experience.
- SQL or BI platform experience, including Looker or Tableau.
- GRC platform experience, including Archer, LogicGate, AuditBoard, or Workiva.
- Experience applying AI tooling to governance work.
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and case management systems.
- Regulatory change management and enterprise risk management experience.
- CAMS, CFCS, or comparable certification.
- High-growth fintech or startup experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $112,000–$155,000 USD.
- Full-time employees are eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits.
- In-office policy: four days per week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office; a fully remote program is also available depending on location.
