Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs powering web and mobile applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and infrastructure teams to build scalable products and services.
- Own a component, feature, or system with expert end-to-end understanding.
- Complete large-scope projects while maintaining a consistently high level of productivity.
- Lead architectural decisions.
- Develop scalable architecture capable of handling millions of users.
- Innovate features including live streaming, instant bidding, live interactions, and checkout processes.
- Maintain a reliable deployment pipeline.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin.
- 5+ years of experience building highly scalable and reliable infrastructure.
Nice-to-haves
- Payment system experience.
- Kubernetes experience.
Compensation
- Pay range: $200,000–$250,000 CAD annually.
- Equity grants are included as part of the total compensation package.
