Own the developer self-service experience for Kong’s Konnect Developer Portal, driving roadmap, discovery, cross-functional delivery, and adoption and revenue outcomes. Responsibilities
- Own the Konnect Developer Portal self-service experience, including application registration, credential management, team management, and environments.
- Lead product discovery and shape the roadmap for multi-runtime access control across API, AI, and event gateways; API and AI lifecycle management; API and AI productization and monetization; and onboarding for product-led growth and enterprise customers.
- Partner with design, engineering, go-to-market teams, and customers to define and ship impactful features.
- Conduct user research, synthesize feedback, and translate findings into requirements and prioritization decisions.
- Define and track KPIs measuring product health, adoption, revenue generation, and ARR impact.
- Communicate across functions and product lines, align stakeholders, and make tradeoffs explicit.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, developer tooling, or platform products.
- Experience building or supporting developer-facing tools or APIs, with strong empathy for developers.
- Understanding of productive agentic workflows.
- Track record of shipping complex product surfaces spanning frontend UX, backend integrations, and system design.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working iteratively with design and engineering.
- Ability to define and track product and business success metrics.
- Familiarity with Git workflows, CLI tooling, Markdown documentation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years building developer-focused user experiences.
- Experience with APIs, AI, and developers as a primary product audience.
- Practitioner experience with developer tools or APIs.
- Experience with API management or gateway platforms.
- Experience using AI to automate product management and development workflows.
