Technical Account Manager
Provides hands-on technical guidance, product adoption support, and strategic advice to enterprise and mid-market customers using Datadog. The role requires IT operations experience, cloud expertise, scripting and CI/CD skills, familiarity with containers and monitoring tools, and up to 30% travel.

Responsibilities
- Advise on technical support and product adoption for customers across pre-sales, post-sales, and renewal processes.
- Analyze customers’ IT operations environments regularly and provide recommendations to maximize Datadog’s value.
- Advocate for customers by understanding their goals and use cases, then recommending process changes, product adoption, configuration, and additional features.
- Participate in and prepare for monthly and quarterly business reviews with customers.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and technical services teams to identify new features and products.
- Continuously evolve best practices for technical product adoption and customer success.
Requirements
- Solid technical grounding and hands-on IT operations experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Comfort with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Go, or PHP, and tools such as Chef or Puppet.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
- Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
- Ability to sit for up to four hours while traveling to and from client sites.
- Ability to travel by automobile, train, or air up to 30% of the time.
- Previous experience as a Technical Account Manager supporting mid-market and/or enterprise cloud customers.
- Experience using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools.
