Technical Storyteller

Technical storyteller who partners with engineering, product, marketing, and executives to identify and communicate differentiated AI and product work. The role requires exceptional technical writing, editorial judgment, and the ability to explain complex concepts accurately to technical and non-technical audiences.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Identify compelling technical stories within product and engineering teams, particularly around AI, and develop them into external content.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product leads, product research, Product Marketing, and executives to understand novel and differentiated technical work.
  • Write blog posts, LinkedIn posts, X posts, technical explainers, launch content, and executive or company content in the voices of senior leaders.
  • Build and maintain an editorial pipeline by surfacing ideas, shaping story angles, and selecting appropriate channels.
  • Prepare executives for podcasts, speaking engagements, interviews, and other public appearances.
  • Pressure-test content with engineers and technical leaders to ensure accuracy, precision, and credibility.

Requirements

  • Exceptional writing ability, with the capacity to make complex technical concepts clear, concrete, and engaging without oversimplifying them.
  • Technical sophistication sufficient to understand topics such as evals, agent harnesses, field clustering, model architecture, and infrastructure choices.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with engineers and technical leaders without necessarily being an engineer.
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to identify noteworthy ideas and compelling external narratives.
  • Ability to work independently across engineering, product, Product Marketing, and executive teams.
  • High precision in language and strong instincts for accurately representing technical work publicly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in technical journalism, developer or AI content, product marketing for deeply technical products, or writing for technical executives.

Compensation

  • US-based salary range varies by location and is listed as $168,000–$210,000, plus benefits and equity.
