The AI Editor improves language-model behavior by developing guidelines, evaluating model quality, and applying editorial judgment across Product, Research, and Engineering. The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, AI evaluation or prompt-engineering expertise, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Apply editorial judgment and curiosity about language models to improve model quality.
- Translate high-level guidelines into clear language and instructions that models can act on.
- Own quality end-to-end, from style guide development through shipped model behavior.
- Partner with Product, Research, and Engineering teams, context-switching across projects and priorities.
- Manage workloads and projects under tight deadlines or escalated activity.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience as an editor, content strategist, technical writer, or content developer.
- 5+ years of experience as an editor, content strategist, technical writer, or content developer.
- Experience with human-in-the-loop AI evaluation, prompt engineering, or AI model quality assessment.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and strong editorial judgment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Deep curiosity about how language models work and a passion for user experience.
- Comfort partnering at all organizational levels in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in content creation or copy editing, including online publishing.
- Experience working in fast-paced, startup-like environments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $92,880–$139,320 annually.
