Associate Applied Value Engineer

Responsibilities

• Understand customers’ AI strategies and business-critical challenges, identify problem-solution fit, and translate requirements into solutions using Celonis Process Intelligence.
• Build and code solutions and prototypes using SQL, PQL, Python, AI, and machine-learning technologies.
• Participate in customer hackathons and rapidly prototype solutions for complex business problems.
• Support agentic process transformation and help customers achieve measurable ROI from AI deployments at scale.
• Execute end-to-end Proof-of-Value projects aligned with customer AI strategies.
• Develop domain or industry expertise, such as supply chain.
• Present and quantify strategic business value to senior executives.
• Remain involved through project completion until agreed value and adoption thresholds are reached.
• Create reusable collateral, best practices, and tools for the Global Value Engineering Center of Excellence.
• Manage customer accounts and develop trusted customer relationships.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Excellent academic performance.
• Extensive internship experience or 1–2 years of full-time work experience, ideally at the intersection of business and technology.
• Understanding of generative AI techniques, including retrieval-augmented generation, few-shot learning, prompt and context engineering, multi-agent orchestration, multimodal understanding, or fine-tuning.
• Good knowledge of Python, common machine-learning libraries, and data-engineering tools.
• Excellent analytical, creative problem-solving, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Customer-centric mindset and foundational business acumen.
• Fluency in Japanese and English.
• Proactive approach, curiosity, self-motivation, commitment to continuous learning, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Combined technical and business education.
• Customer-facing, customer success, service, or sales experience.
• Technical Proof-of-Concept experience.
• Experience building agentic systems with LLM orchestration, RAG, function calling, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or other open-source LLM packages.
• Supply chain process experience, including procurement, order management, inventory management, or production.
• Experience modeling ROI and TCO for business cases.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems.
