Associate Solutions Architect
Provides pre-sales architecture guidance to SMB EMEA customers, leading technical evaluations, workshops, and solution design for GitLab’s DevSecOps platform. Requires 1–2+ years in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting, cloud and software lifecycle knowledge, and strong technical communication.

Responsibilities
- Advise SMB EMEA prospects and customers on how GitLab’s DevSecOps platform addresses technical requirements and business objectives across the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with Account Executives and cross-functional teams to formulate and execute sales strategies that exceed revenue targets through GitLab adoption.
- Own technical evaluations, including proofs of concept and proofs of value.
- Provide RFP and audit support, and design and lead workshops and value-stream assessments.
- Shape solution architectures and guide customers through deployment, adoption, and digital transformation.
- Educate customers on GitLab’s platform and associated technologies, from planning through monitoring.
- Build trusted relationships and enable customer advocates.
- Represent customer needs to Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other internal teams.
- Maintain specialty competency in relevant technologies through training, certifications, and reusable working examples.
- Continuously develop technical and professional skills through training, reading, mentorship, and team learning.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of experience engaging customers in pre-sales, consulting, or similar solution design and evaluation roles.
- Understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, modern DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD workflows, or eagerness to learn them.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related technologies, including deployment, security, and operations considerations.
- Ability to lead proofs of concept or value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and run workshops.
- Clear technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior business or technical decision-makers.
- Ability to build trusted relationships, listen empathetically, and advocate for customers internally.
- French or German fluency is desirable.
