Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of engineers building Sanity Content Agent, balancing technical excellence with shipping velocity.
- Partner with product management and design to own strategy, roadmap, and execution.
- Organize and prioritize engineering work for maximum impact.
- Champion developer experience while building products for non-technical content creators.
- Influence Sanity’s direction and the evolution of modern web development and content operations.
- Work with the Head of Engineering and product and design leadership to establish scalable processes.
- Support the growth and development of team members.
- Build complex, extensible, user-facing applications at scale.
Requirements
- Based in London, UK, or Oslo, Norway, and able to work in the office at least 2–3 days per week.
- 1+ years of engineering management experience and 4+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience at a product or SaaS company, ideally in developer tools or content platforms.
- Strong technical background in TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern web technologies.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in product direction.
- Working knowledge of prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and techniques for improving model reliability.
- Understanding of embedding models, vector search, and grounding AI outputs in structured data.
- Ability to distinguish AI capabilities that solve user problems from those that only demo well.
- Track record of shipping user-facing products at scale.
- Experience leading teams building complex, extensible applications.
- Understanding of software architecture design considerations.
