Receiving Specialist

Receives, verifies, labels, records, and stages high-value equipment and materials for data center construction and operations. Requires at least three years of supply chain, warehousing, or manufacturing experience, with receiving, ERP/WMS, inventory, and forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive all materials and packages and transact receipts in the ERP/WMS system; process hold or exception packages as required.
  • Verify received materials against accompanying paperwork, including damage, part numbers, quantities, and specifications.
  • Create and print routing labels and other required identifiers.
  • File and maintain accurate incoming paperwork and documentation.
  • Interface with carriers, internal customers, purchasing, and other departments to resolve receipt and distribution discrepancies, delays, and issues.
  • Document non-conformance occurrences according to prescribed procedures.
  • Perform cycle counts and review stagnant inventory reports to ensure location accuracy.
  • Coordinate return shipments and reverse logistics with internal teams.
  • Operate forklifts and powered industrial equipment according to safety procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping in receiving and staging areas.
  • Support material flow to construction and operations teams, including kitting and staging.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 3+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying.
  • Availability for one of the following 12.5-hour shifts: 6:00 AM–6:30 PM or 6:00 PM–6:30 AM.
  • Willingness to work rotating schedules, nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed for 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to stand or walk for most of the shift.
  • Comfort working in warehouse and data center environments with varying temperatures, noise, and dust.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of receiving experience.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, technology, or data center environments.
  • Experience with ERP systems and scanning equipment, including RF or handheld scanners.
  • Forklift and powered industrial equipment experience.
  • Experience controlling nonconforming hardware and managing related processes.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The position supports a rotating schedule of 4 days on/3 days off, followed by 3 days on/4 days off.
