Business Systems Analyst, New Product Introduction

Own the quote-to-cash systems process for new product and pricing launches, coordinating catalog, quoting, billing, tax, reporting, and cross-functional readiness. The role requires hands-on Salesforce and CPQ expertise plus experience managing fixed-date launches.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Own the systems side of new product and pricing launches from pricing discussion through the first billing cycle.
  • Translate pricing and packaging decisions into system changes across SKUs, price books, bundles, discount and approval rules, contract terms, billing plans, tax codes, and reporting.
  • Build and operate a repeatable new product introduction (NPI) playbook with intake, readiness checklists, sign-offs, launch calendars, and post-launch reviews.
  • Design end-to-end usage-based, seat-based, tiered, committed, and multi-year ramp pricing models, including source-of-truth decisions.
  • Plan customer migrations, grandfathering, amendments, co-termination, renewals, product retirement, and end-of-sale processes.
  • Coordinate changes across Salesforce, billing, and tax platforms, partnering with Deal Desk, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Product, Pricing, and engineering teams.
  • Prepare sellers and Deal Desk for launch with quote templates, approval paths, guidance, and enablement.
  • Validate post-launch quotes, orders, invoices, and Finance reports; add controls and reconciliations to identify gaps.
  • Build declarative solutions and write clear implementation specifications.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate catalog changes, readiness checks, scenario testing, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in GTM or revenue systems as a Business Systems Analyst, quote-to-cash systems lead, or similar role, with hands-on ownership of product and pricing launches.
  • Experience launching products or pricing models across catalog, quoting, contracts, and billing.
  • Hands-on Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or comparable CPQ experience, including product and pricing data models, price books, bundles, and approval rules.
  • Understanding of how pricing decisions flow into bookings, invoicing, tax, and revenue recognition.
  • Experience running cross-functional processes with multiple sign-offs and fixed launch dates.
  • Hands-on Salesforce administration, including Flow, validation rules, page layouts, and approval processes.
  • Clear communication with Product, Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Legal, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • GTM, revenue, or finance systems experience.
  • Usage-based or consumption pricing experience and familiarity with Stripe, Metronome, or Zuora.
  • Experience with customer migrations, grandfathering, and amendments at scale.
  • Tax setup experience, including tax codes and Anrok or Avalara.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with billing, ERP, or provisioning systems; ability to read API payloads and integration logs.
  • Basic SQL and data warehouse experience.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification; CPQ Specialist, Advanced Administrator, or Business Analyst certification.
  • Hands-on use of Claude or similar AI tools for systems design, development, or documentation, with the ability to validate their output.
