Forward Deployed Engineer, Sovereign AI

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features for North, Cohere’s AI workspace platform.
• Develop autonomous agents that interact with sensitive enterprise data.
• Experiment rapidly and with high quality to engage customers and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
• Work across the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization through production.
• Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout.

Requirements

• Experience working directly with customers.
• Production experience shipping Python.
• Experience building and deploying highly performant client-side or server-side retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or agentic applications.
• Strong coding abilities and comfort working across the stack.
• Ability to read, understand, and fix issues outside the primary codebase.
• Ability to execute effectively in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and objectives.
• Eligibility for an Active Top Secret security clearance, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one.
