Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and document technical accounting issues and prepare memos and calculations supporting accounting conclusions and external audit reviews under US GAAP, including ASC 718, ASC 350-40, ASC 340, ASC 805, ASC 842, and ASC 480.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures and lead implementation of significant changes.
- Manage external valuation specialists and review deliverables for 409A, intangible asset, and equity award valuations.
- Collaborate with Accounting Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, and other teams to operationalize technical guidance.
- Support external reporting readiness, complex accounting disclosures, and process improvements.
- Design and implement efficient, SOX-compliant accounting processes and internal controls.
- Partner with external auditors and consultants on timely, accurate accounting conclusions.
- Provide training and mentorship on technical accounting topics and emerging standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA license.
- 7+ years of combined Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience at a SaaS or high-growth technology company.
- Technical accounting expertise and experience drafting memos for complex, non-routine transactions.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX internal control frameworks.
- Experience supporting organizations with increasing external reporting, audit, or regulatory complexity.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; NetSuite and Workiva preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
