Responsibilities
Lead Corporate Accounting
- Own corporate accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL), month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, and related activities.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate, well-supported, controlled, and timely results.
- Maintain a scalable internal control environment.
- Partner with Technical Accounting, Revenue, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Legal, IT, and other teams.
- Support external audits and financial reporting requirements.
Drive Transformation and AI Adoption
- Develop and execute a roadmap for a more automated, scalable, and data-driven Accounting organization.
- Eliminate manual work, accelerate close, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and standardize processes.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving accounting systems, financial data, integrations, workflow automation, and process redesign.
- Champion responsible AI adoption across Accounting, including use-case implementation, training, experimentation, governance, and human oversight.
- Establish metrics for close performance, automation, productivity, and quality.
Build and Lead the Team
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team in a fast-growing SaaS/data environment.
- Develop future leaders and strengthen accounting, technology, and business capabilities.
- Foster continuous improvement and adoption of technology, automation, and new ways of working.
- Balance operational excellence with ongoing transformation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of corporate or GL accounting functions in a public company or similarly complex environment.
- 4+ years of people leadership experience; experience managing managers preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial close processes, internal controls, and accounting operations.
- Demonstrated success leading Accounting or Finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience improving ERP, close management, reconciliation, workflow, or other Finance technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of AI and automation and the ability to apply emerging capabilities to accounting.
- Excellent project management, change leadership, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to work across strategy and execution and influence stakeholders across Finance and the broader organization.
