Responsibilities

Daily AP Operations

  • Manage the AP inbox, entering or acting on invoices within 24 business hours and escalating issues as needed.
  • Serve as the primary internal and external point of contact for accounts payable matters.
  • Enter, classify, code, and verify vendor invoices in AP and procurement systems across multiple international entities.
  • Onboard new vendors and maintain vendor data, including W9s, addresses, banking details, and payment terms.
  • Investigate and independently resolve discrepancies, escalating when necessary.

Analysis and Process Ownership

  • Monitor AP for trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Independently verify work before submission and correct errors, including reviewing prior work for similar issues.
  • Communicate proactively with spend owners and vendors.
  • Document process changes and exceptions.

Compliance and Close Support

  • Reconcile the AP ledger and related accounts to ensure bills and payments are properly accounted for and posted.
  • Own W9 collection and assist with year-end 1099 preparation and submission.
  • Support quarterly VAT reclaims for subsidiaries.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to accounts payable.
  • Support the rollout of systems affecting the AP function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in accounts payable, finance, or accounting; cloud software experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ownership, follow-through, independence, process thinking, and self-verification.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Bill.com, Expensify, Ramp, FloQast, Omnea, and NetSuite.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Typical US starting salary: $62,000–$95,000 USD.
  • Typical US premium-market starting salary: $75,000–$110,000 USD.
