Responsibilities

  • Own tax filing and payment workflows for multiple jurisdictions across thousands of employers, including account preparation, original filings, failed and late payment monitoring, late originals, amendments, and refiling.
  • File, pay, amend, and refile to exercise systems and update filing specifications as regulations change.
  • Balance tax accounts, reconcile discrepancies, investigate root causes, and resolve complex escalations with Payroll Operations, R&D, and Revenue.
  • Identify workflow friction and translate it into clear product and engineering requirements.
  • Use AI and internal tooling to accelerate work and identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
  • Manage an independent work pipeline across jurisdictions and deadlines while meeting service-level agreements.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in operations or a regulated environment.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, or subject areas quickly and become productive independently.
  • Experience prioritizing work across multiple jurisdictions and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve process problems or document them clearly for others.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Comfort working in an evolving product environment without fully polished tools.
  • Curiosity about AI and internal tooling, with experience using AI to improve work preferred.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $83,300–$108,000.
