Staff Technical Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, Product, Product Design, Marketing, and Analytics stakeholders to conduct data-driven experiments and deliver features.
• Own a mission-critical program and executive-level communication related to it.
• Drive engineering programs forward and maximize business value delivery using technical acumen and analytical skills.
• Recognize patterns in complex information and take action accordingly.
• Design, maintain, and improve the processes and tools that support program delivery.
• Build strategic partnerships with Product and Engineering stakeholders.
• Expand knowledge into new domains as needed.
• Mentor junior technical program managers and lead by example.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience working in an engineering organization and leading complex cross-functional technical programs.
• 10 years of software development experience, including cloud storage and compute products.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to influence technical discussions and summarize outcomes and next steps.
• Strong communication skills across diverse engineering and stakeholder groups.
• Exceptional organization and ability to coordinate multiple independent workstreams and organizations.
• Effective execution practices with a strong sense of priority and urgency.
• Experience influencing improvements to tools, operations, and architecture through program delivery.
• Training or experience with project tracking software such as Jira, Rally, or MS Project.
• Familiarity with MongoDB or comparable technology.
• Interest in business automation using scripting tools such as Python, Google Apps Script, and Slack.
