Manages fixed asset accounting, including CAPEX/OPEX analysis, complex reconciliations, PP&E roll-forwards, reporting, and audit support. The role also leads team development and process improvement, requiring accounting or finance education, fixed asset experience, and people-management experience.

Responsibilities
- Review purchase requisitions and orders to determine proper CAPEX vs. OPEX treatment.
- Analyze complex capital accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Partner with Project Managers, Cost Control, Tax, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to identify and capitalize in-service project assets.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly and year-to-date PP&E roll-forwards for consolidated and unconsolidated legal entities.
- Support monthly reporting and fluctuation analysis.
- Support audit and due diligence requests.
- Contribute to team performance management, goal setting, and professional development.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies and serve as a resource on accounting matters and problem-solving.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of fixed asset accounting experience combined with general ledger accounting experience.
- 3–6 years of experience managing and developing teams.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP as it relates to CAPEX vs. OPEX determinations.
- Familiarity with internal controls, SOX compliance, and accounting best practices.
- Understanding of consolidations, joint ventures, and intercompany transactions.
- Exposure to month-end financial reporting processes.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, reconciliation tools, advanced Microsoft Office, and automation/reporting tools.

- Compensation range: $115,000–$140,000.
