Accounting Manager
Own significant portions of the accounting close, reconciliations, financial reporting, audit support, and control development for a rapidly scaling fintech company. Requires 4+ years of accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and hands-on close experience.

Responsibilities
- Own key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Maintain balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Support monthly financial statements and management reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally to understand new products, transactions, and accounting implications.
- Support external audits and maintain audit-ready schedules and documentation.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting workflows.
- Support technical accounting analysis for new or unusual transactions.
- Help build accounting infrastructure for a scaling company.
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and operating-company experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Experience owning significant components of the monthly close.
- Strong experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Ability to independently investigate accounting issues and drive them to resolution.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and translating business activity into accurate accounting treatment.
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.

- CPA preferred.
- Experience at a high-growth technology, fintech, financial services, or other complex business.
- Experience supporting audits, implementing controls, or preparing a company for increased reporting requirements.
Compensation
- $120,000–$175,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
