Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end first-party data collection stack, including browser tags, mobile SDKs, server-side endpoints, and ingestion paths.
- Define schema and versioning contracts with compatibility across deployed SDK versions.
- Lead identity handling across anonymous and authenticated records, devices, and sessions.
- Lead integrations with CustomerLake products such as Profile and Campaign Agents.
- Maintain strict budgets for page weight, latency, and failure behavior so collection does not degrade host applications.
- Partner with product management, design, and engineering teams to build scalable, extensible solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including technical leadership on complex enterprise software projects.
- Experience owning an SDK or client library used by external developers, including native iOS and Android SDKs.
- Deep browser-side JavaScript expertise, including bundle size, asynchronous loading, CSP, storage and cookie restrictions, and tracking prevention.
- Experience with high-throughput server-side collection, including edge endpoints, batching, retries, and delivery guarantees.
- Practical understanding of consent and privacy requirements, including regional routing and data minimization.
- Demonstrated ownership in 0-to-1 environments and ability to drive projects from concept through launch and adoption.
- Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, and design.
- Experience combining technical and people leadership, such as serving as a TLM.
Nice to Have
- Experience building a CDP, analytics SDK, or tag management product.
- Experience with incident response for code deployed on customer properties.
Compensation
- Local pay range: $190,900–$253,750 USD.
- Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
