Senior OLTP Architect, Applied Field Engineering/Field CTO
Architects and demonstrates Snowflake Postgres and other transactional data solutions for technical and executive stakeholders across Japan and APAC. The role requires substantial PostgreSQL architecture experience, strong presentation skills, and expertise in OLTP technologies and indexing strategies.

Responsibilities
- Convey the strategic advantages and technical application of Snowflake Postgres capabilities, address client inquiries, and conduct follow-up engagements to facilitate sales progression.
- Articulate Snowflake's Postgres functionalities and provide comparative analysis with competitor offerings.
- Identify client-defined success metrics for adopting and using Snowflake Postgres features.
- Reconcile differences between Snowflake methodologies and client requirements for transactional features.
- Resolve client objections and concerns.
- Develop and deliver tailored demonstrations addressing client requirements for transactional functionality.
- Explain Snowflake's security, privacy, and governance considerations for transactional workloads.
- Serve as the technical expert positioning Snowflake Postgres features and value to technical stakeholders across Japan and APAC.
- Collaborate with account teams and customer advocates to define and execute proofs of concept, including executive summaries and business value assessments.
- Develop content such as blog articles, conference presentations, technical materials, notebooks, and demonstrations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of PostgreSQL architecture experience.
- Curiosity and drive to help companies leverage the Snowflake Data Cloud.
- Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including whiteboarding sessions, formal readouts, and demonstrations.
- Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of OLTP database technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of indexing strategies for transactional workloads.
