Senior Solutions Architect, Majors
Customer-facing technical leader who guides enterprise prospects and customers through architecture, technical evaluation, and production adoption of Temporal. The role partners with sales teams, builds prototypes, advises on distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, and requires residence in the U.S. Pacific time zone.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer-facing technical leader for the Majors team in the West.
- Guide prospects and customers through technical evaluation, architecture, implementation considerations, and adoption of Temporal in production.
- Support land-and-expand sales motions and own key technical relationships.
- Position Temporal against alternative technologies and architectural patterns.
- Present, whiteboard, and write technical content for customers and prospects.
- Build application prototypes and provide design, development, build, and deployment guidance.
- Advise on production concerns including security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
- Guide customers through complex architectural decisions involving application patterns and platform design.
- Partner with Account Executives and Platform Architects on account plans, opportunity scoping, technical risk identification, and complex evaluations.
- Provide strategic technical advice to Sales Account Executives.
- Travel approximately 25–50%.
Requirements
- Reside within the Pacific time zone in the United States; preference for the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle Area.
- Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, design principles, and best practices.
- Proficiency with one or more of Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.
- Strong understanding of security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations in production environments.
- Experience guiding customers through complex architecture decisions.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider and commonly used enterprise application and infrastructure services.
- Experience serving as a strategic technical advisor to sales account executives.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $140,000–$183,750.
