Responsibilities
- Partner with product and engineering teams to improve business metrics and build new features, including user acquisition, cross-selling, upselling, and user experience improvements.
- Drive the design and implementation of new product areas and features.
- Break complex problems into essential components and produce elegant, maintainable designs and code.
- Guide the team through ambiguity, rapid experimentation, MVP launches, and iterative improvement based on feedback.
- Lead the team through changing priorities and frequent pivots.
- Recruit engineers and support recruiting efforts across teams.
- Mentor and coach engineers, supporting their career development.
- Manage cross-functional relationships to deliver high-quality products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years managing a smaller team.
- Hands-on experience with architecture, scalable code, technical problem-solving, mentoring, team culture, and delivery.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product managers, analysts, mobile engineers, and backend engineers.
- Experience leading teams that delivered high-quality critical infrastructure projects.
- Strong problem-solving, execution, communication, and team-building skills.
- Experience with high-scale cross-functional payments systems.
