Staff Software Engineer, Identity Administration
The Staff Software Engineer will design, build, and operate secure, scalable Identity Governance features for enterprise access administration. The role requires deep Java or Golang experience, distributed-systems expertise, cloud and container proficiency, and a strong understanding of modern identity protocols.

Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of feature areas from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
- Design, build, and ship production-ready features across the Identity Governance system, emphasizing correctness, reliability, and performance.
- Deliver bug fixes and address customer-reported issues.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and uphold high engineering-quality standards.
- Partner with Product Development, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering teams on development and deployment planning.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with Java (Spring or Dropwizard) and/or Golang, including deep knowledge of multithreading and asynchronous processing.
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and JWT tokens for service-to-service communication.
- Fluency in agentic systems and modern AI applications.
- Experience building high-performance RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services, with strong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and caching layers such as Redis at scale.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including Fargate, EC2, and Lambda.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and managing cloud resources.
- Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Splunk, SignalFx, or Datadog for monitoring and production troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Kafka or SQS for cross-organizational asynchronous events.
- Basic familiarity with React and JavaScript for backend-service integration.
- Understanding of deploying services across isolated infrastructure units.
