Responsibilities
- Build core capabilities for the SaaS platform across multiple clouds.
- Drive functional enhancements for Data Discovery, Observability, and Governance across both open-source and SaaS offerings.
- Lead efforts involving performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers.
- Work closely with product managers, customers, and the open-source community.
- Drive observability improvements and cost optimization.
Requirements
- More than 8 years of experience building and scaling backend systems, preferably in cloud-first or SaaS environments.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and deep experience designing distributed systems and APIs.
- Proficiency in Java and writing clean, well-documented, maintainable code.
- Experience deploying and operating services on cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version-control workflows, and production-grade system monitoring.
- A track record of leading complex projects from design through production.
- Bias for action and comfort with ambiguity.
