Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant will own multi-entity month-end close workstreams, reconciliations, revenue workflows, and balance-sheet integrity while improving controls and processes. The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, ERP expertise—preferably NetSuite—and comfort working remotely with high ownership.

Responsibilities
- Run multi-entity month-end close workstreams end-to-end.
- Own close deliverables for assigned areas and entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and variance explanations.
- Maintain audit-ready working papers and clear support for every balance.
- Own bank and cash reconciliations across 20+ bank and payment accounts spanning multiple entities and currencies.
- Resolve open reconciliation items quickly and prevent recurring breaks through root-cause fixes.
- Monitor and resolve subscription revenue workflow issues between Chargebee and NetSuite, including billing-to-ERP sync errors, credit notes, and customer tax/VAT data changes.
- Support NetSuite revenue recognition execution and troubleshoot workflow and approval issues that block posting.
- Keep Payhawk clean before close by ensuring invoices and receipts are captured, entities and coding are correct, approvals are complete, payment evidence is retained, and sync exceptions are resolved.
- Enforce and improve Payhawk submission processes.
- Own balance-sheet integrity for assigned accounts, including prepaids, accruals, and intercompany balances, with aging and follow-up.
- Document SOPs and checklists, tighten controls, and reduce manual work.
- Partner with Finance leadership to shorten close time and increase confidence in the numbers.
- Provide ad hoc accounting and finance support, including analysis, audit requests, process cleanups, and cross-functional questions.
- Support tax-return preparation as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience with meaningful month-end close ownership.
- Strong reconciliation and documentation discipline, with the ability to explain every balance.
- Experience working in an ERP; NetSuite is strongly preferred.
- Proactive communication, high ownership, and the ability to work with limited hand-holding in a fast-moving remote environment.
Nice-to-haves
- SaaS subscription billing or revenue experience; Chargebee is a plus.
- AP or spend-tooling experience, such as Payhawk.
- Multi-entity and multi-currency experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Total compensation budget of US$98,000–US$118,000, depending on location cost of living.
- International hiring may be through contractor arrangements or employment for candidates based in the United States, European Union, or Australia.
