Responsibilities
- Support the annual budget and quarterly reforecast, including planning calendars, templates, working sessions, and consolidation.
- Maintain and extend the three-statement financial model.
- Support long-range planning and scenario modeling for growth, hiring, and capital decisions.
- Own departmental financial alignment across Growth, Product, Engineering, People, and Customer Success.
- Run recurring reviews of budget, spend, and headcount against plan with department leaders.
- Approve vendor and purchase requests in Zip and monitor spend in Ramp against plan.
- Maintain the contract renewal calendar and provide leaders with committed and remaining budget visibility.
- Identify in-period variances and emerging risks, and connect spending to business outcomes.
- Partner with Accounting during month-end close on accruals, plan-to-actual reconciliation, and monthly reporting.
- Produce variance analysis with written commentary and prepare metrics, schedules, and narrative inputs for investor and board reporting.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and build leadership decision-support presentations.
- Improve and automate recurring reporting in Aleph and Omni.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance, with direct exposure to a full planning cycle.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets modeling skills.
- Ability to partner directly with non-finance leaders on budget variances and spending decisions.
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable building processes in an evolving environment and proactively identifying risks.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a subscription, SaaS, or fintech business.
- SQL and familiarity with BI tools such as Omni or Looker.
- Experience with modern ERP or planning tools such as Rillet, NetSuite, Aleph, Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive.
- Experience with procurement or spend-management tools such as Zip, Coupa, Airbase, or Navan.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range of $140,000–$160,000, plus equity compensation.
