Manager/Senior Manager, FP&A & Strategic Finance
Leads financial planning, forecasting, and business partnership for Engineering, Product & Design and G&A, owning headcount, OpEx, vendor spend, and capital efficiency. The role also drives AI and LLM strategy across finance and supported functions.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary finance partner to Engineering, Product & Design (EPD) and General & Administrative (G&A) leadership.
- Translate financial data into actionable insights for engineering, product, and corporate decision-making.
- Define and drive AI and LLM strategy across finance and the EPD/G&A functions.
- Identify and prioritize AI pilots; develop LLM-powered forecasting, reporting, and automation; establish governance and upskilling standards; quantify AI investment ROI; and partner on AI build-vs-buy and compute/infrastructure spending.
- Own OpEx and headcount planning for EPD and G&A, including spend and hiring guardrails, risk visibility, and operating leverage.
- Build bottoms-up headcount models and dollar-based resource envelopes, sequencing hiring with product roadmaps, compliance needs, and operational scale.
- Lead annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly updates with clear assumptions and variance narratives.
- Manage EPD/G&A budgets and expense plans.
- Partner with Procurement on SaaS and vendor spend, renewals, vendor rationalization, and efficiency initiatives.
- Build models for unit economics, R&D and infrastructure investment ROI, build-vs-buy decisions, and capital efficiency.
- Design and implement scalable, automated forecasting and reporting processes and supporting data infrastructure.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, banking, and/or consulting, including experience in a high-growth, unstructured environment.
- Experience partnering with R&D, Engineering, Product, and/or G&A functions.
- Comfort with headcount-driven cost structures and OpEx management.
- Hands-on LLM literacy and a clear perspective on applying AI to finance and operations.
- Ability to drive multiple concurrent projects to completion.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complex financial topics into clear narratives.
- Comfort in high-visibility roles, including presenting to senior executives and external partners.
- Experience with finance and sales technology such as NetSuite and Salesforce, and FP&A platforms such as Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with SQL and low/no-code dashboarding tools such as Retool or Looker.
- Experience in healthcare SaaS, M&A integration, and/or enterprise deal structures.
- STEM degree and/or CFA charterholder status.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $140,000-$170,000.
