Responsibilities
- Set strategy and lead product initiatives that help more businesses adopt and use Stripe Tax.
- Improve the speed, accuracy, reliability, and usability of Stripe Tax calculations and related workflows.
- Expand support for geographies, tax requirements, industries, products, and business models.
- Build capabilities for complex tax needs, including registrations, exemptions, address and fulfillment logic, tax customization, and business-specific requirements.
- Develop scalable products and platform capabilities across Stripe’s ecosystem, including integrations, connector apps, marketplaces, and Connect platforms.
- Partner across Stripe to create coherent end-to-end experiences spanning calculation, collection, reporting, and tax management.
- Use customer insight, market context, data, and technical understanding to prioritize investments and make tradeoffs.
- Align senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners around product direction, measurable outcomes, and execution plans.
Requirements
- Significant product management experience, including ownership of complex, platform-oriented, or technically deep products.
- Track record of setting strategy and delivering multi-team initiatives with measurable business and customer impact.
- Strong judgment in prioritizing customer needs, market opportunities, operational complexity, and engineering investment.
- Experience working closely with engineering and design partners to build reliable, scalable products.
- Ability to communicate clearly with executive stakeholders and align diverse partners around a shared direction.
- Customer-first mindset and ability to turn complex requirements into simple, effective product experiences.
