National Security Policy, Senior Manager

Responsibilities

• Support AI policy engagement with the national security apparatus.
• Work with the Public Sector Business Unit to shape and support programs at the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, and beyond, including funding lines, requirements, and other business-growth priorities.
• Contribute to the formation and execution of policy strategy and priorities.
• Coordinate internal collaboration with the Public Sector Business Unit, including workflow improvements and templates and playbooks for recurring processes.
• Prepare briefing materials, memos, and talking points for senior leader and external engagements.
• Own stakeholder and relationship tracking, including post-engagement follow-through.
• Provide administrative support for external consultants, advisors, executive engagements, and travel.
• Draft recurring internal updates and synthesized analysis on policy announcements, legislative changes, and national security developments.
• Develop and maintain a national security policy calendar and roadmap covering PPBE timelines, Department of Defense budget and program decision points, senior leadership transitions, and other executive branch actions.
• Support engagements with industry trade associations, think tanks, and other external groups.
• Monitor policy and regulatory changes for potential business impact.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in defense policy, government, defense technology, or the broader defense industry.
• Experience contributing to or supporting consensus-building at trade associations, standards bodies, or similar venues.
• Experience supporting company responses to rulemakings, requests for comment, or similar processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical experience such as research or peer-reviewed publication, covering technology policy within government, working at a technical executive-branch government agency, or working in the technology sector.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary range: $170,400–$205,000 USD.
• Eligible roles may include equity compensation, subject to Board of Directors approval.
