Responsibilities
- Implement enterprise-grade backend services that handle Unit’s scale and use cases.
- Own and develop features end-to-end, from design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Solve diverse, complex problems in a large-scale distributed microservices environment.
- Collaborate with teams across Unit to deliver features in banking, payments, cards, and lending.
- Develop solutions for developers, emphasizing performance and quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience in a microservices environment.
- Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining testable, scalable systems in a cloud environment.
- Understanding of critical production-system concepts, including high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD.
Nice to Have
- Production experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Scala.
- Passion for software and functional programming.
- Experience with ZIO, Cats, or Scalaz.
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event Sourcing, or CQRS.
