Senior Solutions Architect
Leads regional technical strategy and complex customer migrations from legacy enterprise data warehouses to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. The role requires extensive customer-facing presales or architecture experience, expertise in Lakehouse architecture and cloud platforms, and strong executive communication and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities
- Lead the regional migration strategy by collaborating with EMEA GTM leadership and account teams on technical go-to-market and adoption strategies for large-scale enterprise data warehouse migrations to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Develop and refine programmatic migration assets, technical guides, guardrails, and processes that enable field teams and partners to execute migrations.
- Build, maintain, and guide the development of automated customer assessment tooling.
- Serve as the tier-3 technical escalation point for complex, strategic, stalled, and mission-critical migrations across EMEA.
- Mentor and coach EMEA Solutions Architects and Specialist Solutions Architects to scale the presales migration practice.
- Provide technical feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
- Author whitepapers, publish technical blogs, and deliver presentations at public forums.
- Collaborate with Professional Services and Global Systems Integrators to standardize migration delivery methodologies and ensure smooth handoffs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of customer-facing experience in presales, architecture, or consulting roles.
- Experience influencing technical executives, including CIOs, CISOs, DBAs, and platform leads, and driving database modernization strategy.
- Understanding of legacy enterprise data warehouse systems and architectures, including Teradata, Netezza, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, and Exadata.
- Expertise in migration planning and progression from enterprise data warehouses to modern data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Lakehouse architecture, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL.
- Experience designing and implementing big data architectures in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with strategic enablement, community mentorship, Professional Services, and Global Systems Integrators.
