Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL drivers that power data warehousing traffic and partner integrations.
- Optimize SQL drivers for performance, reliability, and telemetry.
- Build reliable, highly performant, and resilient SQL connectors for partners and enterprise customers.
- Engage with and grow the open-source community around SQL connectors.
- Maintain and contribute to open-source repositories.
- Collaborate with SQL server teams to deliver new connector features based on customer needs.
- Work with the product team to shape Partner Connect and grow the Databricks partner ecosystem.
- Architect, develop, deploy, and operate robust systems.
- Lead engineering projects across functional and organizational boundaries.
- Navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders, and design solutions to complex problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; higher education is acceptable.
- 10+ years of production-level experience in Java, Python, Go, or a similar language.
- Experience working toward a multi-quarter vision with incremental deliverables.
- Proven experience architecting, developing, deploying, and operating highly performant systems.
- Experience maintaining or contributing to open-source repositories and communities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and cross-organizational engineering projects.
- Ability to work with stakeholders to bring clarity and design innovative solutions.
