Unmanned Aircraft Operations Intern

Responsibilities

• Capture and record all planning requirements needed to conduct the mission safely.
• Capture and report approval requirements for intended flight missions at European target locations.
• Identify customer stakeholders and develop communication streams, formats, and processes for planning and execution.
• Define logistics requirements, including aircraft and equipment transport, aircraft sheltering, transport clearances, and crew lodging.
• Develop a mission-planning budget framework and obtain information from affected internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the mission preparation and execution schedule.
• Establish progress-reporting dashboards and provide regular status updates to management.
• Secure required on-site prerequisites before the operations crew arrives.
• Support the operations crew in resolving issues during mission execution.
• Support on-site coordination and communication with customers during mission demonstrations.
• Document program expenses against the budget.

Requirements

• Enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor's or advanced degree program in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of the EASA regulatory framework for unmanned-aircraft operations.
• Strong interest in aircraft operations.
• Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or equivalent Google applications.
• Ability to manage multiple interdependent tasks in a highly dynamic environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a participative team member.

• Previous complex project-management experience.
