11Design and mature mechanical and thermal systems for high-power hybrid-electric propulsion, owning critical hardware from concept through production. The role requires 5+ years of complex mechanical design experience, rotating-machinery expertise, CAD/GD&T proficiency, and hands-on hardware development.
Fabricates, assembles, integrates, and tests composite and metallic aircraft structures and prototype components. Requires hands-on composite manufacturing experience, including layups, vacuum bagging, curing, finishing, and bonded assembly.
Supports the propulsion team by designing, fabricating, integrating, and testing mechanical hardware for electric and hybrid-electric aircraft systems. The internship requires current Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering study, CAD experience, and a hands-on approach to hardware development.
Serves as primary Remote Pilot in Command for eVTOL UAV flight tests, managing GCS operations, securing regulatory authorizations using FAA/EASA frameworks, and collaborating with engineering on test plans and telemetry analysis. Requires FAA Part 107 certification, UAV piloting experience, and bachelor's in aerospace or related field.
Designs and develops high-power-density SiC-based power electronics hardware including motor drives, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters for UAV and hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft. Requires 5+ years experience in power converter design, SiC expertise, PCB layout, magnetics, thermal/EMI management, and aerospace standards compliance.
Develops controls, embedded software, and simulation infrastructure for SiC-based propulsion power electronics in UAV and hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft. Designs and tunes algorithms for motor drives, rectifiers, converters, and hybrid controllers; builds high-fidelity models and manages MIL/SIL/HIL testing. Requires 8+ years experience, MS/PhD in EE/Power Electronics/Controls, and expertise in PMSM control and real-time embedded systems.
Supports qualification planning, requirements extraction, documentation, and aircraft-level safety analyses for a hybrid VTOL aircraft program. The internship suits an engineering student with strong analytical fundamentals, documentation skills, and interest in aerospace certification and safety engineering.
Supports planning and potential execution of European unmanned-aircraft missions, coordinating operational approvals, logistics, stakeholders, schedules, budgets, and on-site execution. Requires aerospace or related academic experience, knowledge of EASA unmanned-aircraft regulations, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Systems Engineering and Integration Intern supports aircraft system development through requirements management, hardware/software integration, testing, and verification in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Ideal for students in Aerospace, EE/ME, or CS with systems thinking and hands-on interest.
Intern assists robotics team in assembling UAV platforms, integrating sensors and electronics, performing hardware testing, and supporting flight operations. Requires pursuing bachelor's in relevant field, ROS2 experience, and hands-on hardware skills.
Integrates embedded software, avionics, sensors, and payloads for UAS platforms, ensuring robust command/control, telemetry, and autonomous operations. Requires 2+ years in aerospace/robotics systems integration with C/C++, Python, Linux, and communication protocols.
