Customer Success Engineer
Design and implement production-ready streaming architectures, onboard customers, and build integrations for Redpanda's data platform. Requires 7+ years in customer-facing distributed systems roles and proficiency with Kafka, cloud platforms, and security technologies.

You Will
- Spend time working with our products to build new partner or technology integrations, use cases, and automation capabilities with our customers
- Be prolific in sharing content and best practices both internally and externally
- Work alongside the Customer Success team to onboard new customers and work with existing customers to drive their success and excellence
- Design and implement production-ready streaming architectures that solve customer business problems and meet their performance, reliability, and scalability requirements
- Partner with Redpanda product management, engineering, and support teams to solve customer challenges and improve customer experience
- Identify and resolve technical barriers to production readiness, performance optimization, and expanded use cases
- Build tooling, automation and other technical assets that can be re-used by multiple customers to improve their Redpanda experience
You Have
- 7+ years of prior experience in a customer facing role working hands on with distributed systems technologies similar to Redpanda
- Experience with creating blog content and/or documentation on the production use cases and solutions
- Outstanding consulting skills, able to easily context switch between internal teams and customers, from code to whiteboard, from support to engineering
- Comfortable developing/prototyping solutions in many different languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, and Javascript)
- Experience working with distributed systems such as Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc
- Good understanding of security technology (TLS, SASL, Kerberos, OAuth, OIDC etc.)
- Knowledge of different cloud vendors (AWS, GCP and Azure)
- An Understanding of the fundamentals of high availability and disaster recovery and are able to design HA/DR solutions to meet customer needs and constraints
- Passion for working on complex technical problems and have a strong understanding of modern data infrastructures and streaming technologies
- Strong ability to build relationships with our partners, customers, and open-source users
- Collaborative spirit and enjoy making sure each team gets customer feedback to provide great customer experience
- Flexibility to travel to meet customers, attend events or conferences (up to 25%)
- Experience with Kubernetes or Ansible a plus
Compensation
- U.S. base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $206,000, not including bonus and/or commission
