Responsibilities
- Found a new Staff-level team in Bengaluru and help establish its technical bar and engineering culture in collaboration with global teams.
- Lead the design and delivery of features extending the Auth0 platform.
- Own the strategic technical quality, security, reliability, and scalability of systems.
- Drive architectural improvements and advocate for engineering best practices.
- Identify architectural gaps and advocate for long-term improvements across Core Identity.
- Collaborate with Product, Security, Design, Architecture, and QA teams.
- Build expertise in identity, security, cloud technologies, and distributed systems.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, or equivalent.
- Proficiency designing and building services with Node.js using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience creating and maintaining public and secure APIs and front ends.
- Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Track record of driving technical alignment across multiple teams and mentoring senior-level individual contributors.
- Product-oriented mindset and ability to understand customer needs and collaborate on effective solutions.

- Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
