Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the technical vision and build customer-focused products.
- Build and maintain customer-facing experiences using React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python/Django on the backend.
- Develop and maintain low-latency, scalable developer-facing APIs and a data platform supporting data science teams.
- Improve engineering practices and effective development processes.
- Debug production issues across the stack.
- Collaborate with engineering and internal stakeholders to deliver customer value.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems in fast-paced environments.
- Strong experience with Python, Django, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience with API development, SQL, and modern frontend technologies.
- Experience building customer-facing systems from scratch, making trade-offs, and working autonomously in early-stage environments.
- Product mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Based in NYC and able to work from the Flatiron office at least two days per week.

- Aurora RDS PostgreSQL.
- Managing cloud infrastructure with tools such as AWS CDK.
- Transaction, merchant, and location data.
- Fintech or data products.
- Performant SQL, indexes, and query-performance analysis.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range of $170,000–$200,000 USD, plus equity and benefits.
