Solutions Architect
Leads technical discovery, architecture design, evaluations, and proofs of concept for enterprise data and AI customers in Kansai. The role requires customer-facing pre-sales or consulting experience, public cloud architecture expertise, big data knowledge, and fluency in Japanese.

Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluations and solution designs for focus customers in the Kansai region.
- Drive technical discovery, architecture design, and proof-of-concept phases in partnership with Account Executives.
- Advise customers on data and AI strategy and help teams design, build, and operationalize solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Author reference architectures, how-to materials, and demo applications.
- Integrate Databricks with third-party applications within customer architectures.
- Lead workshops, seminars, and meet-ups for the technical community.
- Build customer relationships and demonstrate technical and business value across the assigned territory.
- Provide customer feedback to product and field teams.
Requirements
- Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across multiple industries.
- Customer-facing pre-sales or consulting experience, preferably with strength in data engineering or data science.
- Experience presenting and whiteboarding technical concepts.
- Experience designing and implementing architectures in public clouds, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with enterprise accounts.
- Written and verbal fluency in Japanese.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with big data technologies, including Apache Spark, AI, data science, data engineering, Hadoop, and Cassandra.
- Fluent coding experience in Python or Scala for Apache Spark implementations.
- Experience with Java and R.
