Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource for Frontier Engineering Practice Managers and Practice Directors throughout the services sales cycle.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, solution design workshops, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concept efforts.
- Architect delivery-ready solutions using Snowflake platform capabilities.
- Produce technical scoping artifacts, including solution architectures, level-of-effort estimates, resource plans, risk assessments, and Statements of Work.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with customer technical stakeholders, including Directors, VPs, CTOs, and CDOs.
- Provide technical thought leadership through competitive positioning, technical objection handling, value articulation, and expansion opportunity identification.
- Participate selectively in strategic delivery engagements, architecture validation sprints, and executive checkpoint sessions.
- Contribute reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, sales collateral, and enablement content.
- Mentor Practice Managers on technical positioning and Technical Architects on customer-facing communication.
- Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering on customer requirements, competitive gaps, and market needs.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles spanning pre-sales, post-sales consulting, solution architecture, or technical advisory.
- Experience operating across sales and delivery, supporting deal pursuits while executing technical project work.
- Experience designing and presenting enterprise-scale data platform solutions to technical and executive audiences.
- Experience with Japanese business sales cycles, including requirements gathering, pre-RFP activities, formal RFP processes, and responses.
- Hands-on proficiency with SQL and Python for data analytics, data engineering, or AI/ML solution development.
- Strong understanding of at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Frontier Engineering scoping, level-of-effort estimation, solution architecture documentation, and Statement of Work development.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, data governance, and modern data architecture.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Partner ecosystem experience, including joint engagements with Systems Integrators.
- University degree in computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluent Japanese and business-level English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data platform in consulting or implementation.
- Snowflake SnowPro Core or Advanced certification.
- Experience in a Frontier Engineering organization within a product company.
- Vertical expertise in Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, Media, or Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle concepts, model development, deployment, and MLOps.
- Experience with data migration and legacy platform modernization, including Teradata, Hadoop, or Netezza.
- AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure certification.
