Manager, Engineering
Leads an engineering team building and improving MongoDB Atlas growth experiences, while contributing to distributed backend systems and modern web applications. The role requires at least five years of software development experience, people-management experience, cloud expertise, and familiarity with analytics and experimentation.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers to design, build, and test new features for MongoDB Atlas.
- Contribute to and lead complex technical projects.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to design the team’s roadmap and define delivery dates balancing technical feasibility with market pace.
- Partner with product, design, and analytics teams to build user-focused technical solutions.
- Collaborate with team members on the codebase, best practices, and design principles.
- Learn from and mentor team members.
- Launch new features and maintain them in production.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of people management experience.
- Experience writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language such as Java, C#, or Go.
- Experience across the stack of a modern web application, including React, TypeScript, and React Testing Library.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider technology.
- Deep understanding of product analytics.
- Experience with A/B testing and other forms of online controlled experimentation.
- Excellent communication skills.
