Manager, Security Operations Center

Leads a regional Security Operations Center team responsible for scalable processes, 24/7 coverage, analyst development, quality assurance, and cross-functional security operations. Requires extensive global SOC experience, Windows forensics expertise, and prior team leadership or management.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and enforce internal processes to reduce burnout and increase the productivity of the operations center against global expectations and standards.
  • Manage and enforce local and global shift coverage to maintain 24/7 operations 365 days a year.
  • Meet weekly with analysts in one-on-one settings to socialize focus initiatives, gather feedback, provide feedback, and support career progression.
  • Contribute to analyst training programs covering digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, detection engineering, threat hunting, and automation.
  • Work with Product teams to prioritize capabilities that augment analyst capabilities.
  • Maintain accountability for routine quality assurance for the designated region.
  • Partner with Support to create streamlined workflows for customer requests requiring Security Operations Center analysis.
  • Mature processes and relationships with Tactical Response, Threat Hunting, and Detection Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical leadership to Security Operations Center analysts.
  • Ensure team members understand organizational goals and how their work contributes to the mission.
  • Provide input and guidance to Marketing, Sales, Support, and Product stakeholders.
  • Develop, track, and report on Objectives and Key Results linked to Security Operations Center initiatives.
  • Help operationalize new technologies and services.
  • Participate in public speaking engagements, including webinars and in-person events.

Requirements

  • Experience leading diverse cybersecurity teams across security operations, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, threat hunting, and detection engineering.
  • 5+ years of Security Analyst experience in a global 24/7 Security Operations Center, with a focus on Windows forensics.
  • 2+ years of team lead or managerial experience in a global operations center or incident response role, preferably within an MSSP, MDR provider, or incident response service.
  • Active engagement in the information security community through conferences or public-domain conversations and projects.
  • Ongoing learning and awareness of threat actor tradecraft, detection techniques, and security operations concepts.
  • Ability to identify workflows and create detailed process diagrams and operating procedures.
  • Effective communication of highly technical concepts to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
  • Experience leading initiatives or projects requiring delegation and accountability.
  • A data-driven approach with experience in data science concepts.
