Head of Compute Supply Chain

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing strategy across semiconductors and hardware, data center equipment, and energy equipment.
• Build the organization by developing category leads and defining team operating practices as the function grows.
• Secure supply ahead of demand through capacity reservations, wafer commitments, and long-term agreements, partnering with Compute, Finance, and Legal.
• Maintain executive relationships with hardware suppliers and power and infrastructure OEMs.
• Own supply risk, including single-source exposure, geography, tariffs, and export controls.
• Identify supply gaps before they affect the business.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain for semiconductors, hardware, or datacenter infrastructure, including leadership of a function rather than a single category.
• Experience building a sourcing organization through rapid growth, including managers who lead teams.
• Experience negotiating capacity or long-term supply agreements at multibillion-dollar scale with executive counterparts.
• Deep experience in semiconductor supply or data center and power infrastructure equipment, with the judgment to lead the other domain.
• Ability to make allocation decisions and explain trade-offs to executives.
• Strong written communication and executive presence.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Experience building a sourcing function from scratch.
• Experience sourcing robotics or manufacturing equipment.
• Experience sourcing across the US, Europe, and Asia for an international data center portfolio.
