Responsibilities
- Lead multiple capital construction projects from initiation through close-out, owning the full lifecycle from pre-design through commissioning.
- Provide financial and schedule management, including cost estimates, budgets, value engineering, schedules, change orders, and invoice approvals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop project programs, masterplan campuses, and support real estate due diligence and lease negotiations.
- Manage procurement via RFP process for external PMs, architects, MEP engineers, and trades; recommend project delivery methods (Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build).
- Track progress, drive entitlements, permits, contracts; complete bid reviews for funding recommendations; manage executive reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering.
- 10+ years industry experience, with 5+ years direct owner-side design/construction project management.
- Experience leading $2M-$50M+ capital projects in R&D, manufacturing, industrial, office/amenity, thermal chambers.
- Direct architectural/engineering design experience, including document review and MEP systems knowledge.
- Expert in procuring, negotiating, directing architect/engineer/vendor/contractor contracts.
- High proficiency in Excel (budgeting), Bluebeam, MS Project (P6 desired).
- Exceptional communication for executive presentations and reports.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently, identify risks, and develop mitigations.
