Responsibilities
- Manage and develop partner-level relationships with venture capital funds, startup accelerators, and other startup ecosystem partners.
- Develop strategies to drive adoption of OpenAI models among startups and ensure portfolio companies have resources to build effectively.
- Identify and execute founder engagements and events in collaboration with venture firms and internal teams.
- Provide technical guidance to startups in one-to-one engagements with internal technical teams.
- Represent OpenAI at startup ecosystem events and speaking engagements.
- Analyze startup portfolio metrics, create reports, and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Contribute to startup-focused programs and strategic initiatives.
- Advocate for improvements to the startup experience and synthesize product feedback.
- Monitor industry and startup landscapes to inform product roadmaps and corporate strategy.
- Collaborate with solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product management, and engineering teams.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and company culture development.
Requirements
- Experience as a founder of a venture-backed startup, venture capital investor, or early employee at a fast-growing startup; technical founder experience preferred.
- Technical understanding of AI technologies and the AI product landscape.
- 10+ years of experience managing high-value external relationships and working with founders and C-level executives.
- Strong public speaking skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience leading high-visibility customer engagements, conferences, events, or product launches.
- Experience gathering, distilling, and processing complex market, industry, competitor, customer, and prospect intelligence.
- Strong customer orientation, strategic thinking, relationship-building, and program-building capabilities.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $302,000–$352,000.
